Sinful Sunday Flash Fiction Week # 40 Results

The results are in! Here’s what judge Les had to say!

I would just like to say what a pleasure it was to read all of the entries for this week! I may write M/M, but it was a refreshing change of pace for me to go back to F/M. All the entries were so well done and gave me so many options – from hot and steamy to ethereal and dreamy. They were just what I wanted. I love seeing how a picture can shape words and mean different things to each person that tries to explain it. That combined with the word prompts for this week sure left y’all with a wide range of options in the direction you could go, and go did you!

This was a hard choice, and it was so close. All of the entries were a winner!

Honorable Mention goes to MeraNaamJoker. This one … I loved it. The thing that got me most was that I didn’t really KNOW what was going on, but the sensation I was left with fit the ‘feeling’ of the picture prompt. And this line hit me. Hard.

“If you can learn to walk–” He licks again. Maybe I can learn to fly.”

Jami Denise is the Runner Up this week. This was a tough choice for me. I love the angst, that feeling of … ugh, when it gets you right in the heart, and this entry left me almost breathless. With so few words I was able to feel the anguish and the pain, the sense of loss both characters were feeling. This line wrecked me the most.

We were holding on to yesterday. The yearning between us was so strong, it just wouldn’t let go. We couldn’t. My hands held his back, the muscles rippling as he plunged deeper and deeper into my soul. I let him take everything.

So beautiful and so painful at the same time. Just gorgeous.

But the Winner this week is Eileen Griffin. This entry was so very good. Combined with the prompts, I was blown away by how powerful this was. It had it all — beautiful imagery, incredible incorporation of the prompts given, and a feeling of sheer perfection. I was so impressed by this entry. I read this line over and over and over again because it’s just so damn good.

She balances in my embrace, total trust and submission. My thumb gently glides over the ink nestled against her instep. The ink, so tiny the ears and slope of the nose are barely discernible. Her shivers are electrical currents that shoot straight through me, demanding that I be buried deep within her until she’s screaming my name. Only mine.

This was not easy, but I had so much fun being a part of it. Thanks for sending me so many great entries and for reminding me that while boylove is where my heart is, it’s so nice to venture from my safe zone every now and then. Big thanks to Rebecca for letting me play!

And the virgin award goes to Taylor! Thanks for judging, Les! Great job!

The winners may grab their badges! Thanks to everyone for participating! There will be no Sinful Sunday next week, as I will be in Atlanta for RWA 2013. Until next time, stay sinful! 😉
